The Brit Awards took place recently. For those of you who do not know what it is, it's a celebration ceremony for Music awards. The line up includes performances by a number of bands and artists with awards presented after (though awards are not based on the opening performances). These are the people who were nominated for each category:

The delight in hearing live music

During November, Year 10 GCSE Music students journeyed to London to hear the London Philharmonic play at the Royal Festival Hall on the south bank. Here is a brief of each of the three works:

Introducing the BBC Proms 2009

The BBC Proms are the largest classical music festival anywhere in the world consisting of more than 70 concerts during the summer months. They take place annually at the Royal Albert Hall in London with a capacity of nearly 6000 people in the audience, which makes a spectacular experience even without the music!
