There are several, big release games coming to our consoles this spring; here I will outline 5 of some of the top games we're waiting for:
Dante’s InfernoRelease date: Out Now
Platform: XBOX 360, PS3
Rating: Intense action!
Age rating: 16+
Dante’s Inferno is an action/adventure game which see’s you take control of Dante, veteran of the Crusades. After the countless atrocities that happened in his name, Dante is punished. As punishment, his wife dies and the devil steals her soul. Dante then begins to descend into hell to save her beloved soul. As you pass through the 9 circles of hell, based upon the poem upon which this game is based, known as Divine Comedy, by Dante Alighieri. You will encounter everything from huge 3 headed dogs to a giant Cleopatra incarnation.
What should be really great about this game is its graphics; at 60 fps (frames per second) all of the knitty gritty action should be very smooth. Speaking of which the bloodletting in this game promises to be a great piece of gaming!
Heavy RainRelease date: Out Now
Platform: PS3
Rating: Intense story line.
Age rating: 15
Heavy Rain is a new game out, with a twist. It takes the movie feel of some games to another level as you control the four characters who hunt for the ‘Origami Killer’. The game takes you through the lives of 4 characters in a story line withm, as some would say, ‘adult and grown up themes’. Nevertheless, like an RPG, every decision you make will influence how the game develops and the end result. Graphics look good and so this should be an engrossing play. However, this is not a game for those who like super action, shoot ‘em ups etc.
Alien vs Predator
Release date: Out Now
Platform: PS3, XBOX 360
Rating: 3 Different campaigns!
Age rating: 15
Aliens vs Predator is an FPS where you can play as a human space marine, Predator and the infamous Alien. Each species has its own single player campaign and should be played in different styles. This is also applied to multiplayer where players can fight as any one of these species. Unfortunately game play isn’t the best and controls can sometimes get confusing. However, the action-filled, adrenaline-pumping game play is a major plus. All in all, this should be a good game.

Battlefield Bad Company 2
Release date: Out Now
Platform: PS3, XBOX 360, PC
Rating: Multiplayer is said to be great.
Age rating: 15
This new edition of the popular Battlefield series sees the player return to Bad Company. One of the most appealing factors of this game is the completely interactive scenery, e.g. you can blow up everything! However the story line isn’t the greatest and doesn’t compare to modern warfare 2, but I’ll leave it to you to see for yourself. Multiplayer is said to be great if you are a good player. Initiation into the multiplayer is a hard process, but the intense action, wide variety of vehicles and all that destructive scenery makes it a good experience once you get into it. It might just be the game for you.
